The surge of routines, pick-up lines, techniques, NLP tricks, and otherwise useless gimmicks across the internet have corresponded to a gradual decline in the amount of attention given to the fundamentals of the game. While I don’t doubt the effectiveness of practiced routines, I do doubt their significance in comparison to the pillars of attraction. No matter how immersed I become in the game, no matter how many new things I learn, I always find myself going back to the same fundamentals. Regardless of how expansive your knowledge of the game becomes, you will find that 98% of the “new” things you learn are simply extensions of the same fundamental concepts that govern sexual dynamics.
Of these fundamentals, I find female hypergamy to be ignored most often. Women desire men of higher status, this is the axiomatic nature of female sexuality.
If after reading the last sentence you thought, “Oh ok so girls only want guys who are rich and popular”, your view of male social status is too restricted by your pre-conceptions about social value. A doctor can still display lower value to a girl by acting desperate, and a construction worker can display higher value with superior game.
The reason why we naturally defer to “wealth” and “fame” as meters for judging social value is because we live in a socio-capitalistic world where these two attributes are the easiest way to objectively measure a man’s capability to “provide”. In truth however, attraction is based entirely on evolutionary psychology; meaning that most of the subconscious reinforcers for sexual attraction in women are impartial to modern developments like wealth. What women are actually attracted to are qualities like confidence / caddishness, which have stayed the same throughout history if only changing in form (confidence is the refined version of fearlessness, and caddishness is attractive because women subconsciously assume that a man wanted by other women must have desirable qualities).
Female hypergamy is reinforced in multiple ways. First, women are biologically more valuable than men. A hundred women and 50 guys can produce more offspring than 100 guys and 50 women. One penis can do the job of ten. Wombs are more valuable. If a girl WANTS to have sex, she only needs to say so and a plethora of men will be happy to oblige. The same doesn’t apply for a man. Women thus have the luxury to seek men of higher social status.
Second, a man of higher social status can better suit a woman’s provisional needs. Women know this, it is wired into them.
And finally, it is socially reinforced. A girl adopts her boyfriend / husband’s ego. The more social proof he has, the cooler he is, the more value he has on the social market, the more value SHE has.
There is an important “exception”; whilst women will seek men of higher social status, after a certain point they concede the possibility of a successful relationship and recognize that certain men are “out of their leagues”. Women will not date men who are TOO Alpha for them to keep loyal. It contradicts their prerogative to seek continuous affection.
What does female hypergamy mean for men? That higher social value must be displayed not only during the initial pick up, but continuously throughout a relationship. It must be subconsciously reinforced over and over again so as to feed into your dominance. A girl WANTS to defer to her boyfriend’s leadership, and she will LOATHE him if she can’t.
I see men fucking this shit up all the time. At parties they’ll be talking to girls while looking down the entire time. They’ll be begging to buy drinks for girls, laughing at their terrible jokes, and pumping egos like Mexicans at a gas station.
In relationships, it gets fucked up when a guy starts acting needy or desperate. Confidence and dominance must be reinforced on an upward scale. Your alphaness is supposed to go UP as a relationship progresses, not down.
If a girl’s social value shoots upward at any point during a relationship and the boyfriend’s lags behind, her interest will wane. Her lowered interest level will be further supplemented by needy behavior as he pulls harder to get her back. It doesn’t matter how her social value moves up; whether she goes to a new school or job and starts getting a shit load of attention from other guys, or if she becomes a rock star.
You can display superior value by being rich and powerful, by being indifferent and unpredictable, through raw game, or if you have a 14 inch penis. Hypergamy is also heavily supplicated in SPECIFICS. For example, a girl who’s really into baseball might find the captain of the baseball team extra attractive, employee / employer affairs are based heavily on hypergamy, a girl who loves math might find a guy with genius IQ extra attractive, and etc. A guy who excels at things that a girl is interested in displays higher social value to her.
